ABOUT ME

Hi there, I'm Daniel 👋

I'm an Amsterdam-based photographer mostly into street photography, but also nature photography, landscapes, and impromptu portraits of friends out and about at social events and parties. I'm originally from Virginia, just outside of Washington D.C., but I've lived in Europe for 10 years, mostly in Amsterdam and a bit in Gothenburg, Sweden.

After a big trip in 2024 that took me to Argentina, Chile, Colombia and eventually Ohio (to see the total solar eclipse with friends) I had an epiphany that I should always have my camera with me. On the trip my camera (a simple Canon EOS 2000D starter DSLR with a 50mm lens) became an extension of my right hand, joining me on multi-day jungle hikes, city walks, beach hangouts and all the travel inbetween.

Since then I still always bring my camera around (I'm now on a Canon EOS RP /w 50mm lens). As I continue that habit, my hobby is crossing the boundary into something I take more seriously.
